Sample Accuracy
Based on sample characteristics and the math, we are currently 95% confident that our results on most items reflect the preferences of the population within a margin of error of ± 6%. This means that if 50% of people said “Yes” to a test question, the actual figure for the population is likely to fall somewhere between 44% and 56%.
Limitations
Like most datasets, ours currently has some limitations in that we don’t have high numbers of respondents at every demographic point (e.g., age, race, religious affiliation). This should lead to a pause before making too many broad assumptions about the sexual likes, dislikes, preferences, etc. of people groups that are not well represented in our dataset.
